Shortcuts and quick tips

Speed up your workflow with practical shortcuts and simple everyday tricks.

Editor

  • Focus: open a focus session with Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + F. Set time and/or word targets. Focus mode reduces distractions and saves preferences per book.

  • Undo/Redo: Cmd/Ctrl + Z and Shift + Cmd/Ctrl + Z (or Ctrl + Y on Windows).

  • Drag and drop: reorder chapters and scenes directly in the list. Use scenes for smaller goals and faster feedback.

  • Acts Board: organize chapters by arcs by dragging across columns. Scene loading is on demand.

  • Export by chapter: in Compiled mode, download a .zip with one file per chapter. Great for partial review.

  • Entities with images: upload a primary image for each character, place, or object for quick visual references.
